HELP--Need Correct Usage Of Bypass Audio Aligment In TsRemux 0.0.2.0

I am looking for the correct usage of "bypass audio alignment" in TsRemux 0.0.2.0. I have conflicting information from two sources.

My Understanding:

1. Bypass audio alignment should ONLY be checked when you are downsizing from one M2TS file to another M2TS file AND you are downsizing from blu-ray true hd to AC-3 OR DTS HD to DTS. Otherwise the audio will not be heard in a standalone Blu-Ray player.

2. Bypass audio alignment should never be checked from downsized M2TS file(s) to Blu-ray format AVCHD.
