I really don't know much about this sort of thing...and I tried about 4 different programs until I got simplemoviex which actually works...catch is that they plaster "TRIAL" over the damn video. I think the audio's 4.10 seconds ahead of the video, if that helps.

    I know there's already a thread about .avi files...but I didn't see anything for a mac.

I really appreciate any and all help. Thanks!

p.s. - I downloaded these episodes in a torrent and a .sfv came with...should that be able to detect syncing issues? because it didn't... o_o

Oh, also...on one of the files...it started out out of sync...and then suddenly switched in sync. strange.

Your major issue will be finding another Mac user. Most of the users here are on Windows PC's.

Sync issues are typically a pain in the a##. If it is a consistent amount of time from start to finish, you can extract the audio (using an audio program, I don't know what to recommend for a Mac user) and remove audio from the beginning if the audio is delayed or add blank audio to the beginning if the audio is early. Then remux the audio back into the file. If the delay isn't consistent, you likely won't get very good results and your time is best spent finding a better copy/version of the file.

As for the .sfv file, that is used for error detection so that you know whether the file was corrupted or not (ie: missing/incorrect data). It doesn't have anything to do with the quality of the file.

QT Sync may work for you. Once you manage to get the sync correct (and you may preview, modify, preview, modify...until you are satisfied; then a "Save as..." will put the whole thing into a ".mov" container (without transcoding, hopefully). Process as you require afterwards (for iPod, DVD, etc.).
