  1. Does anyone know a good Movie/DVD cataloging and organizing Freeware? I don't need many options but it would be nice if it can access imdb and download the info and cover. Thanks in advance.

Whilst not free, (free trial is available) Movie Collector is a very capable software package.

  3. Thank you for the reply. I am cheap, and looking for freeware though lol. Actually I just found a freeware program called Movienizer www.movienizer.com It seems really good so far and scanned spyware free.

If anyone has other good one please post. I am going to find the best freeware program before I spend hours loading my collection into it :) Thanks

I've been using Extreme Movie Manager. Not free, but $15US. http://www.binaryworks.it/extrememoviemanager/

It can search your hard drives or network for movies, catalog them, then find the covers and info about the movies on the net.

Have a look at EMDB - Eric's Movie Database.
I liked it so much I paid for it.
Go to -> http://www.emdb.tk/ to have a look.

  8. Thanks for the links guys. I like that emdb and movienizer can export the movie list into a text format. This is important because years ago I used MediaMan, it was freeware and then went to $30. And there was no way to export my movie list. You could Only export MediaMan exclusive file. So far I am going with movienizer. It has really nice interface and will export to .txt file.

It's an online program, but I think it's worth a look... DVD Aficionado: http://www.dvdaf.com/

And it has imdb and Amazon.com link access.
