    Hello,

I just a new home PC with Vista, and I am having trouble making WMP play directly when I click a linkt to an mpg file on a website. My other computers do this, but on my new PC when I click the mpg link, the file opens in Quicktime even though I have removed all the streaming (MIME) settings in the QT player.

I really just want to be able to click an mpg ling and have the file play directly in WMP.

    Any help very much appreciated.

Check your browser settings re: multimedia....also tell QT to NOT be the default player for anything but QT files. Friends have had similar troubles, where QT obnoxiously insists on streaming mp3's with a higher bitrate than 128kbps.

    Thanks, Stiiv...

I have done all those things, and still...

I am beginning to suspect this has something to do with the Nero software that cam preinstalled with the computer
