Hi guys,
I am still a newbie in the field and I need couple of advises, please.
First of all I use NTSC to create my VCDs and XVCDs. When I capture from my home made videos using my Digital8 camcorder I am getting avi files 720X480.
After editing them in Premiere 6.0 I use TMPGEnc to convert them to mpg1. One of my problems is that the picture looks a little bit squeezed, I can see it on people’s faces, they look smaller than in reality. Is this because I am using 1:1 Source Ratio instead of 4:3 NTSC 525 lines?!? How can I avoid this?
Second issue is when I am trying to convert PAL AVIDivX size 384X288 to VCD or XVCD (it doesn’t matter PAL or NTSC) I am loosing from the picture size. It’s cropping the picture. With PAL template I am getting 352X288 and with the NTSC template I am getting 352X240. Is it any way I can preserve the original size without cropping it?
Thanks,
Roberto
