Kinda new at this, so please bear with me. I'm trying to convert my .avi files to play on my Apple TV. I want to get the best possible image quality. It appears that Apple TV can handle 1280 X 720. I'm using Cucusoft Apple TV Converter. I made sure I selected what I think were the correct settings:
1280 X 724
H.264
Framte rate less than 24 (23.976)
Video Size of 1280 X 720
Sample Rate of 44100
Video Bitrate of 5000.
All of these appear to be suppoted according to Apple's site.
I have no trouble converting the files and getting them into iTunes. However, when I try to add them to the Apple TV sync, I get an error message that it could not be copied to the Apple TV as it cannot be played on the AppleTV. I can get lower resolutions to play, but obviously, quality isn't especially good.
Anyone have any idea or perhaps other software to try? I searched these forums and couldn't find a similar issue, so I apologize if this has been asked before.
