Hi there, I'm using FCP6.0.2. I've made a rough cut and I'm simply trying to burn this straight onto DVD using DVDSP4. I know I have to export the file as a Quicktime movie but get lost after that... if anyone could point me in the direction of a quick star guide that would be absolutely amazing!

    Much much appreciated.

cheers, thanks I already checked that. The manual goes into a lot of length about how to author etc, I just want to quickly burn a quicktime movie onto DVD from FCP!

  3. Let me get this straight...you want to learn how to author a DVD but your complaining because the manual for DVDSP goes into too much detail on how this is done? Not to sound like a jerk but we've all been in your situation....and have read the manual too.

    Google it

Our new motto around here should be:
"If you can't be bothered to read the manual, don't bother us."

A lot of what we are going to tell you is in the manual my friend.
suffice to say, I'll give you one hint:

Don't export to QT movie, export to Compressor instead,
and then select the Mpeg-2 encoding preset to match the length of the
    finalized FCP project......
"Everyone has to learn, so that they can one day teach."
