Okay if we get the hardware download to work then I also want a lightsaber. Ever since I was 4 years old and saw the original release of star wars in the theatres, I wanted a real working lightsaber. So when you get the hardware download to work grab me a red vader saber. I mean obi wan had the blue saber, luke the green, but vader's was always the kick ass red one.

  4. OK, i know this is for laughs but i am gonna be serious; i dont have all the backup i need but a friend of mine has this in a pc magazine.

There is a Prototype printer that has been made selling for $57,000, ridiculous i know and where to buy it at? unknown

But anyways, the printer uses some material, wish i had the magazine here with me, that can actually print out real objects.

The best it has done so far is print out a human lifesize skull molded in wood is what it says.

How this thing prints is unknown but to make 3d objects is sweet.
    Now for cdrom sake-
The printer is unable to print out electronics, sorry, too far fetched for me.

Now, what u can do is go to circuit city and buy a monster cable T50 cable at dl rates of 1 gb\sec, hehe.
Open morpheus up, and search for there new version- search for hardware, not software.
When the dvd burner comes up, dl it.
The bitrate of the dvd burner will not be shown, sorry, hehe
Nor will the length of the burner

The file size is quite large as u have to dl each part then use a .bat file to merge em all together.

U wanna get the new plugin for nero that will let u import hardware too as this is a nice plugin.
Let nero check it and make sure its compliant with hardware aspects.

    Then burn
U dont wanna overburn cuz it might deform the burner.

You beat me to it sean, I was going to mention that article. The one you read might have come from a different magazine but I read about it in Maxim. The current name for it is the 3D printer, but that will probably change once its released. It works by creating a cad drawing of any solid 3 dimentional object. There are actually different ones in development, one that uses wood, one that uses a soft stone etc. The materials are in square blocks and each little speck of it is viewed as a pixel. The 3D printer makes a series of passes chipping away "pixels" according to the cad drawing. The machine was developed for NASA so the astronauts could download simple objects that would otherwise be impossible to get, such as a screw for example. But in the future they expect everyone to have one and that it will revolutionize the retail industry. Instead of going to the hardware store we will simply purchase and download the appropriate cad drawing and print up our own nails.

  7. it is very interesting indeed.

You think this can be the first step in "transporting."

In the magazine, not sure if same one, they do mention transporting capabilities.

They say that so far, they have been able to transport light
They are workin on tryin to transport 1 atom but it has been said it could take 3 yrs before the transport occurs.
Someone had asked a scientist i guess as to which i should refer to them as, when would it be possible to transport a human being.

Sighing and laughing at same time he said this-

If u take every pc in the world and combine there speeds, it would still not be fast enough to process that kind of information yet.

The storage space and processing speed are heavily used to do this i assume.

  8. and speaking of autocad.
Im takin that class now and i got the prog at home.

That prog is so fun and easy at the same time.

IF there is an industry dedicated to makin cad drawings, that would be crucial though if u think about it.

One little mm off and the screw is screwed, hehe

  9. Wow, i never thought about using CAD. But i guess that is right. Just download the AutoCAD File, and put it in the machine, and you could already do it, if you have one of those machines. BTW sean, Im taking AutoCAD next year, do you like it?

"it will revolutionize the retail industry" not to mention the bootleg industry

We could use the transporter to beam a human into the computer, use a program to isolate cancer cells and delete them from the pattern, then recreate the person.

Well, if you can download hardware or animals, why not women? You could download new girl(s) every night for the rest of your life! Sorta makes that electro-sex machine on the other thread seem quite lame. . . .

    two words "weird science"

oh wait, it just occurred to me that many of you may not understand how these two words would apply to downloading women.

There is also another version of the 3D printer that uses a liquid and two intersecting lasers. At the point of intersection the liquid solidifies and so the machine can 'build' an object from the inside out. These have been in use for some time. A major use is for producing skulls from MRIs for use in surgery - so the surgeons can see EXACTLY where they will be drilling that hole to get the cancer out...another is the manufacture of bell housings - matching an engine to a gearbox, say a 351 to a Supra 5 speed box. They input the engine and box patterns, use the cad program to create the needed shape, including screw holes and mounting brackets. After this they 'build' the prototype with the liquid printer and then use that to make a sand cast for the real thing.

The printer can actually make a working ball whistle, just like the refs use, including a free rattling round ball in it!

Ya just gotta love technology! How else could we all possibly laugh at the same thing?

I have also tried downloading a dvd-r but it came out a 5" floppy drive from early those early 80's PCs. I'm never downloading hardware again!!!

  27. maybe instead of isolating the cancer cells, we should isolate the hepatitis C cells in pamela anderson, tighter her up after the few years of abuse her cooter took from tommy lee, and shwazwamo... it would be like "patching" the hardware...

  28. Hasn't anyone seen the ads for the new Transporter PCI card (model ST:TNG)? It uses the new 66 Mhz PCI bus (because of data throughput needs) and fits in any available PCI slot. It doesn't use any IRQs but does require 1x10^9 DMA address lines to work correctly.

Once installed, I would imagine you'd need a good firewall, or the haxors would literally rob you blind (and take your donuts and beer too).
