Project free tv.... ???

Hello,

Are the websites like project free tv and other which let you download tv shows
and movies for free legal? (i have no idea)

It says so on their website but i have doubts

What are you thoughts?

Normally, if those who hold the copyrights do not grant permission, is illegal, but only in countries such as USA, UK, and those who have signed treaties like Australia. Now, in 3rd world countries this is not illegal. Places such as African Countries don't give a damn about illegality or not, they have more serious problems than protecting the profit of some stupid Hollywood organization or any other USA based groups.

There used to be one based out of Toronto and from what I remember the Canadian laws permitted them to relay anything they could pick up with a basic antenna (nothing from cable). It's been years since I went to the site so I don't know if they still exist or the rulings changed.

The copyright holders will say it is 100% illegal. Not to sure about the actual law and how downloading a show is if it is or not similar to timeshifting.

Australia signed a Free Trade Agreement with the United States, but before they had to accept DMCA like laws into the Australia Judicial System, because of this, you could be held liable if the holders take legal action against Australians for downloading crap.
