I recently went through the steps outlined in the how-to's to convert from avi - dvd w/ subtitles and after the encoding I was left with no audio or subtitles.

Has anyone else run into this?

This can happen, for example, if your audio is encoded in a form for which a codec is not installed. Take a look at the Progress logfile (click on the "i") to see what ffmpegx might be complaining about.

As to subtitles, what format are ypur subs in?

Subtitles are .srt and everything was fine in the preview. I did rename and relocate the target which may have buggered things up. I'm trying again now and it's making a video ts and audio ts file so hopefully it is working properly.

    Thanks

I redid the encoding and everything seemed fine. However, when I try to play it in my dvd player, suddenly the audio doesn't match the video unless I speed it up to 1.2x. Doesn't make any sense to me.

Furthermore I tried it in a different player and audio and video seem to match most of the time.

Is there a simple fix to this? Does it have something to do with the framerate setting?

What are the framerates of your source file and your target file?
