Trying to convert avi to mpg using tmpge 2.01 and keep getting "Illegal Floating Decimal Point"
This is on Nt 2000 512mb memory
I have split audio and video
The file 608X256 Frame size 23.976fps
Decompressormpeg-4 low motion
no of keyframes 1318
I have no problem with any other files just this one, and it palys fine no problem as avi file
any ideas ??
I could upload the tmpge logfile if someone coul dtell me how..

It is having a hard time reading your DirectShow filter. IN TMPG go to OPTIONS and ENVIRONMETAL SETTINGS go to the last tab where all your "plugins" are listed, and right click on DirectShow filter and increase it's priority.
If it's DivX I would recommend framesriving it with Vdub into TMPG though. Vdub reads the DivX beeter than TMPG I believe. See under the CAPTURE area for how to frameserve with Vdub.
