I'm thinking about getting this new version. I just have one question. Did they add the feature whether or not to enable overscan? Or did they fix the whole overscan issue itself?

You can manually adjust overscan to suit your video needs.

FWIW - there is no 'overscan issue'. There is a moron issue with people who add hard-coded subs.

Yes, within the new version of ConvertXtoDVD you can adjust the overscan settings to suit your video needs.

Okay so I have the new version 3.01 and I went to the settings. I then went to Video processing tab and set the Video resize method to Letterbox. Then I went to TV Format tab and changed the DVD Resolution to "Automatic (Based on input resolution)."

I even have my dvd player settings to Letterbox in the video settings. When I play the video I converted using version 3 it's still overscanning. Top and bottom black bars are small and picture from the sides are cut off.

Am I using the wrong settings or is there another setting I didn't change correctly?

Expand the titleset branch for your video.

Right-click on Video and select Set Video Parameters.

A dialogue should open called "Input image resizing and video processing"

Here you can set the padding (borders) required to push your image into the centre of the screen. It is not the most intuative, and doesn't retain the original aspect ratio automatically. You can also turn of a Safe Area overlay.

You have to do this on a video by video basis

    If in doubt, Google it.
