hi guys
i wanna create an mpg movie from divx (720x416) to be displayed correctly on a 4:3 TV (black bars top and bottom), format should be highest possible svcd pal resolution.
as i read this resolution is 480x576, so the mpg will look stretched in y axe, but when burned to svcd and put into dvd player the 480x576 will be stretched to 4:3 format, is that correct?
i use WinOnCD 5.0 for burning, it got an mpg player included, and this player displays the done mpg at 480x576.
(btw, why does windows media player (6.4) display the same mpg at 768x576? i read about the aspect ratio thing, but no matter what destination ratio i choose, like 1:1, 4:3, ... WMP says the res is 768x576)
whatever, when i burn to svcd i get sound but no pic, and i wonder if the the mpg is wrong somehow
any help highly appreciated, thkyou very much
