Hello - I am new here, so be nice! I was wondering if anyone could help me out... I originally backed up some documents and some drivers to a data DVD. The disc had plenty of space on it, so I decided to burn an additional program onto the same data DVD by, what I thought was creating a multisession DVD.

Ok... so I put the disc in my DVD burner, continue with my multisession and burn the one additional program to the existing disc with all of my other documents and programs..

The problem is this... now when I look at the disc through my DVD rom, all I see and have access to is this one program that I recently added. What happened to all of my other stuff that was on the disc?

So, after a moments of going through Nero and a few programs, I see now that there are two data tracks available on the DVD, however, for some reason, I cannot access "Track 1" and copy those files to anywhere, like my desktop to use them again. However, Track 2 containing the one program I just burned, is viewable and/or available.

How can I retrieve my original set of documents/programs on that Track 1? Personally, the programs and documents on this Track 1 are far more important than the one program(drivers) that I recently burned, so gaining access to these files are a must!

Is there a way to "view" data Track 1 so I can at least copy these back to my PC and start all over or can I not use this anymore? Do I have to finalize the disc? I'm not sure what to do... Any help will be appreciated.

    KnucklesNilan,

When you tried "Nero and a few programs", was one of the programs IsoBuster? If not, that's the first thing you should try.

Thanks for the quick reply and welcome VB! Sorry about that.. what I meant to write is that going through Nero and a few if Nero's programs. I have Nero 7 Suite and as you know, comes with all kids of different programs.. quite frankly, I'm not even sure how I finally got to the point where I was able to actually view Track 1's data, which is what I need to access. I believe it was Nero's Burning Rom and I tried to copy and burn the data on Track 1 to a blank disc, but the only thing it did was copy the entire disc just as the original was! so, I literally go nowhere except for two discs with the same exact problem.

In any event. Would ISOBuster deal with the issue of accessing both data tracks? After looking IsoBuster over, it looks like I will be able to do that.

    thanks again...

Yes, IsoBuster should be able to extract the files from both sessions. It sounds like all you need is the free version, so you don't have to pay to register it.
