I have Pentium 4, 2x200 gig hard drives.
What is the largest external hard drive I can add, and what is the best method. USB or Firewire.
    Thanks

Whatever size you can find and has a good cost/benefit ratio, but I've always been partial to firewire external drives. They're a bit harder to find and slightly more expensive, but they are more dependable for long, sustained transfers, plus you can daisychain them.

Is there a limit? You are good for TB or more for a single drive.

    Best connections?
    1. eSATA (as fast as internal drive but may require a card)
    2. Firewire 800 (expensive and also requires a card)
    3. Firewire 400 (you seem to have it)
    4. USB2 (cheaper but adds load to CPU)
