I have been using MeGUI to convery my DVDs to something to watch on my ipod classic, but I have been having problems with the end results if they're in widescreen.

I have encoded three different 2.35:1 movies--Shoot 'Em Up, Munich and Miami Vice--and all of them don't look right on the iPod. They're either zoomed in so much they look like a 4:3 rip, and others look like 1.85:1 rips.

I have tried looking on every tutorial I can find, but none of them address this. I even tried e-mailing the guy who maintains the MeGUI Wiki, with no luck.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.[/i]

Never mind. Turns out the problem wasn't in MeGUI after all. It was in the iPod classic. I switched off "Fit To Screen," and now everything looks perfect.

Apple should really be shot for having such piss-poor manuals.

But other than that, all is well and I am now enjoying my iPod all over again.
