I am using TMPGEnc 2.5 to encode an ASF to SVCD. All starts well and the movie which is about 1hr 20min initially comes up as a predicted encode time of about 2 hours. After a short time however this time quickly increases to above 20 hours and then before aborting the process says as high as 30 hours. I am using a P4 2.0Ghz Northwood CPU, 512MB RDRAM, and using a RAID hard drive setup so unless I am missing something don't believe my system is at fault for being to slow. Any reason why this could be happening. I have also noticed, that after aborting and playing the beginnings of the file which was being created there are skips every couple of seconds. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
