I am extracting the audio from an asf video downloaded off the net. I have used ASFtools to repair the file and then extract the audio using the guide in VirtualDub 1.3c. All seems to work well and it extracts to a wave file in about 10-15 seconds but once i listen to the new wave there is a distinct distortion in it. It is although I am listening to the radio and not getting ideal reception and each time a noise is heard, for instance when someone speaks there is a obviously hiss/distortion to the sound. Any ideas on how I can remove this.
Thanks
