I have an ATI AIW 128 PCI card and set it up with the MMC reg tool to allow it to capture in realtime VCD format. It captures great and the MPEGs always comes out working but when I try to encode them with TMPGENC into XVCD so the particular file like a full length movie will fit on one disc I hear a weird thumping sound at the beginning when I test the MPEG after it was encoded. Most recently I heard it constanly through one of my MPGs. Should I capture with another program or are these MPEGs not created to be encoded in a similar format?
