Starting programs and Office kicks in....

i have MS office XP Pro installed but everytime i click on certain programs , the installer package for MS office starts up and i have to click cancel about 3-4 times. why is this and how do i stop it from doing it? thanks

Try this:
Go to Add or Remove Programs->Microsoft Office XP->Change->Add or Remove Features->Office Tools->HTML Source Editing and select Not Available.
If that doesn't work open Outlook(Word,Excel,etc) go to Help->Detect and Repair.
