Hello folks I just bought a archer video super video processor off of ebay the other day and have yet to really get into see all of what it can do but so far it seems to do a lot better then any other video processor as far as noise reduction and sharpening goes except my signvideo enhancer and procamp. I found out that a signvideo enhancer will not do video noise reduction unless you add adjustments and only does as much as you adjust. The archer does video noise reduction even if you don't add sharpening to the incoming signal. Also it has a feature that is the source is a mono it makes it into 2 channel stereo. The one thing I am having trouble with is the knob for brightness. Does anyone have one and what setting should I have it so my video source is not too bright or dark. I tried this setup AVT 8710-archer super video-signvideo procamp-toshiba dvd recorder. It seems like when I try to use the signvideo procamp for monotoring the signal it kind of goes up and down at times and sometimes clips but I am not able to get it where I really want it so when my recoring is done it wont be too dark or brite. I would hate to not use my sign video procamp since I just basically run the signal through it and have all the controls on it straight up with no enhancement. But it is a nice little box though and is way nicer then the sima scc2 or anything else like it. Down fall is it only has rca no s-video. Thanks for any help.
