Hello!
This is my first post, I have a doubt about the program FLYDS in REAL TIME MPEG-2 video capture.
Mi TV PAL-N capture card is based in bt878 chips WDM drivers, FLYDS uses REAL-TIME MPEG-2 Intervideo 3.0
enconder.
My doubt consists in the resolution that this wonderful program uses in the capture
see image 1
BUT!! in encoder config appears 352x240 without option of electing
image 2
The Frame SIZE final resolution is 720x576 PAL according to the image 1
My question is, Does the Soft capture at 352x240 and renconde at 720x576 or does capture ditectly in 720x576 ???
NOTE: I use FLYDS because I can select capturing REAL-TIME MPEG-2 with LPCM audio

Thank you for responding
GSPOT says "The Frame SIZE is 720x576 PAL according to the image 1"
but GSPOT takes the resulting final video.
I think that the FLYDS captures video in 352x240 (figure 2) and on the fly ( real time ) uses encoder to rencode at 720x576 (figure 1) , then I get video 720x576 (gspot) but minor quality! .All in REAL TIME. -
It wouldn't surprise me. I have never been impressed by the Fly products. Had a Fly analogue tuner/capture card many years back.
However it should be pretty easy to see if this is the case. Post a short clip and we can have a look. Upsizing the video from VCD to full D1 res should be easy to spot.Read my blog here.
