This is Adobe HDS f4f video stream format, for download use the AdobeHDS.php script.

    rtmpdump is also valid:
    Code:
    rtmpdump --verbose -r rtmp://vod-fms.canalplus.fr/ondemand/videos/1312/LE_GRAND_JOURNAL_EXTRAIT_131218_CAN_391955_video_HD.mp4 -o "Karim a dit - Le Grand Journal du 18_12-990360.flv.part" --resume --skip 1

  4. Hi everybody and Merry Christmas to you all !

I would like to get this video (http://www.skynet.be/fr/festivals/pukkelpop-2013/concerts-videos/27658) as a Christmas present but after many tries, still no avail ! Can anybody help me out ?
This is fragmented .f4m/mp4 and I did use Adobe HDS Downloader-Viewer and managed to get the manifest but I kept receiving a disappointing "No media entry found" ! I tried from different splitted mp4 links sniffed by URL Snooper but still unable to find a way out. I have attached a snapshot of the hitch.
If anybody sees the light in this, you'll be highly praised ! In the meantime,
Have a great Christmas party !!
    Cheers !

AFAIK this might be a Silverlight DASH stream with DRM protection, similar to the Netflix streams. Imo you can't download this.

    Hello

I tried the different tools mentioned at the top of the thread (KeepVid et al., StreamTransport), but none worked to download the stream embedded in this page.

All the Firefox add-ins mentioned are now 404.

I also tried TubeMaster, but the stream slips right through it.

By checking the source of the page, it uses a Flash-based viewer, and possibly an FLV file.

Any idea what other (Windows) tool I could try?

    Thank you.

Thanks. Is there a tutorial besides the Readme on what to do after unzipping the two files into a directory?

Within RTMPDumpHelper, I hit Options > Add Support for Web Browser, but there are multiple Chrome processes so picked one by chance, ran the video again... but nothing happens.

  17. Hello.
Anybody know how to download videos from this website (link for a sample video): http://www.cers.com.br/videos/demonstracao/18925

Few years ago "StreamTransport" did the job, but now it's not working anymore.

I'm a noob, so, if is possible to download, I need some step by step tips or the directions where I can read and learn the step by step procedure.

I've already search on the internet and didn't find the answer. So, if you guys could help me, I'll really appreciate.

Thanks for the attention and happy holidays to all.

ps.: sorry about any English errors.

  19. Thanks fryk,

Unfortunately I did not have much skill to implant your technique to my PC.
But now I found freeware which can adapt to HDS f4f format.
    Any Video Converter

I have not tested all the streaming site with HDS f4f, but I guess it works!

Just a tip to you and all advisors.

  20. I'm having a bear of a time trying to rip a stream and was wondering if any of you could help. I've tried RTMPDumpHelper+RTMPDump, and I've tried StreamTransport. RTMPDumpHelper gets me part of the huge file, but ends prematurely, and the file ends up being corrupt (I can only play 1 minute before VLC crashes). StreamTransport crashes right when the page loads in its browser.

The video stream is here. The site is a bit slow to load, but once the stream starts, I can watch the whole HD concert video in my web browser, I just can't figure out how to download the stream.

Thanks for any help you can provide!

You might try this, it's the best resolution (1080p) and bit rate:
    Code:
    rtmpdump -r "rtmp://s2ik9jcsovwc6b.cloudfront.net/cfx/st/" -y "mp4:000851-001757-z5v/rtmp/file-8564k.mp4" -o file-8564k.flv
    Download is very slow!

  23. Thanks Endoro and blimey!

Endoro's suggestion failed to read RTMP paket header at the 60.4% mark, tried to resume, then errored out. I have noticed that when watching on the web it has done that before too, so I'd assume it's some weird server glitch.

blimey's HTTP solution (which I had actually looked for before posting) worked perfectly, and now I have the entire concert. Oddly, it looks like the failed to deinterlace the footage though, but that's easy to fix not that I have the 1080p footage.

Big THANK YOUs again! I had been trying various things since Friday and nothing was quite working.

So how exactly did you find out that URL? I don't think I saw anything in the header information that had "blive-video.bproductions.com". I only saw a reference to "blive-cdn.bproductions.com". I'm just asking for the future so I can try figuring it out myself, if possible. I saw the line that read "Playpath: mp4:000851-001757-z5v/rtmp/file-8564k.mp4" but as I said above, nothing with the blive-video subdomain.

  27. I am trying to download roughly a 2 hour video from this site http://new.livestream.com/holycross/channel1. I am only able to get about 3/4 of most games downloaded as the download routine seems to have a 2GB file size limit. I have tried this on a Mac as well as a PC and have tried a couple of different programs (can't remember them all) ... in particular, one from Sothink that ties into Firefox. I am guessing the file size limit is my problem.

( http://download.cnet.com/Sothink-Web-Video-Downloader-for-Firefox/3000-11745_4-10702106.html ) ... there is a Mac version as well ... thought it might overcome the file size limit but it didn't

The files are .flv which are easily converted by HandBrake to MP4s.

Any thoughts on something that will overcome this limit?

    Thanks,
    Steve

    The direct link to the full size mp4 file (2.76GB) can be found on the following page;
    Code:
    http://api.new.livestream.com/accounts/6846167/events/2694325/videos/47592356
Look towards the bottom of the page. The link follows the string: "progressive_url":
Copy the entire url between the quotes, including the code at the end.

Not necessarily. If the browser is chrome and chrome just starts playing the video using its built in mp4 player, it is not being downloaded. You could right-click the playing video and choose "save as" to download it, and then cancel the active playback.

This is assuming that no download helpers, extensions, or managers detected the mp4 when you pasted the url into your browser and asked if you wanted to download it. Preferably you should use some sort of download manager or helper extension to download the file.

In the source, both a http and https link is given, it might be preferable to select the http version, but both will work.
