    I bought a bunch of classic movies that were re-released back in the early days of DVD only to have them come out later with updated editions. Is it really worth investing my money into movies coming out on blu-ray now, or are they going to be releasing "special editions" in a matter of time. And with the HDDVD format now gone, can we expect a price drop in Blu-Rays anytime soon?

    Now that there is absolutely no competition? I seriously doubt we'll see any (substantial) price drops in the players or the movies for quite a while.

    The studios want you to buy their films over and over again because they want your hard earned money. Only you can decide if it's worth the expense, though. Personally. there are only a few films I'd purchase again.

    I know I said the same thing, when DVD's were first coming out, that there were only certain movies that I would upgrade to, then sure enough I upgraded them all lol.

    Well, the jump from VHS to DVD was pretty dramatic... it was worth it to upgrade your movies.

    DVD to BR.... mmmmmmm... I don't know.
