  1. I'm looking for a good filter to deblock a couple of frames of a video

    I have tested one from msu but the result is not great

    Maybe avisynth will save me on this one ... i hope

    here is a sample of the video (from retail dvd)

    Thanks for your inputs in advance

    Ah, that's a tough one. Blocking from very fast change in brightness. Mpeg2 flips out when it has to deal with strobe light looking stuff. Happens on a lot of things, even HD broadcasts. Good luck, although I doubt you'll be happy with any attempt at fixing it. Hope I'm wrong.

    Code:
    mpeg2source("c:\downloads\sample.d2v",cpu=4)

    tfm()
    tdecimate()

    unblock()
    sample.avi

    if you combine MSU Smart Deblocking with Neat Video, you may manage to make it look better.

  4. Did the neat's license price decrease since i talked about it a while back?

    I'll make a few tests with the combo "smart msu deblocking+ neat trial" to see if that's worth getting it.

    thanks for your inputs
