On the SUPER website it says this:-
SUPER © also plays and saves Internet Media Streams of different protocols ( mms:// rtsp:// http://)
Has anyone tried using SUPER to download the BBC radio 'listen again' programmes? 8)

I've tired it just to get a old codec. It has or had spyware. And would not unistall properly. It replaced my mpeg2 encoder and I was unable to capture video.

What nonsense!!!
SUPER does NOT have spyware so please think before starting rumours like this.
If you couldn't work it out then I am sorry but I have used it a lot and if you know a few things about it, you can do some great encodes with the program.
It is only a GUI for a load of other Freeware and open source tools didn't you know?
If it replaced your mpeg encoder then that is up to you to fix mate. It tries to include all the required encoders and filters and, as such, can't be expected to get it right for everyones PC.
I have never had a problem with it, it is NOT in ANY WAY malicious or 'spyware' and it is brilliant for encoding all types of multimedia formats.
thank you
As to the original question, I have never tried to use it to capture streams...I recommend the goo dold streamboxVCR and if that doesn't do it then GetASF stream usually does. Failing that the Net Transport WILL.FaeGiN
