    i just got an hd dvd player for the xbox 360 last week and now they r not making hd dvds anymore is there
    anyway 2 make that drive play blu rays like flashing the firmware or something like that

    There is no way to do that. Do you know that the price now is 49.99 at BB and CC?, maybe you can get a refund if you bought it in one of these stores (I think CC will price match up to 30 days after the sale, don't know how long BB do it).
