    looks like it only comes with edius pro. the new procoder3 comes with a procoder wizard, but it's junk like the old tmpgenc wizard in my opinion.

    Since Grass Valley took over Canopus it looks like they are moving Procoder upmarket. They did have an upgrade path for Procoder and Procoder Express current owners. As I recall, you needed to call them to discuss upgrade path and prices.

    I own that sucka and it is no longer supported.

    I never heard anything about an upgrade.

    They aren't talking about Express upgrades but if you call them you may get a deal if you need the Procoder4 features.

    hey eddv - procoder 4? didn't 3 just come out not that i wouldn't mind version 4 as 3 is not my cup'o'tea. it is a wee bit more flexible than mainconcept reference v1.0 though, and it does have a folder autowatch feature someone was looking for that will convert anything placed into a "watched" folder for them.

    I'm just looking at the upgrade site. When a company is acquired, the acquiring company is more likely to cut a deal with former customers than in normal times. Most of the changes seem targeted at DVCPRO 50, DVCPRO HD
    Panasonic DVCPRO P2 cards, Panasonic VariCam and Sony XDCAM formats.

    that would be edius 4 you saw i would presume. different beast as it's their editor not the procoder encoder.
