Nero Recode stalling after .01 frames

Hello all, I recently upgraded to nero 7.10 and used recode to successfully encode one movie to nero digital (avc). After that whenever I attempt it the file loads without problems, I make my settings, then after I set my output destination and click burn the frames per sec. freezes at .01 and the progress never moves. I've rebooted my PC twice to see if that would help. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

Nero should have generated a log file, take a look at that for errors. Not sure where it would be, probably in 'Documents' maybe as a hidden folder or it might be in the Nero folder.

My only other thought is to give it a different destination, preferably not on the boot drive or the same drive as the source video.

If you can come up with the actual error that stopped the operation, someone here might have some better ideas.

thanks for the response, i tried the log file and it had nothing. No errors were listed but that might be due to me canceling the encode, it never crashed the it just never progressed past .01 frames encoded. Since I posted this I have encode one movie successfully but then it went right back to stalling on the first .01 frame. I don't get it.
