Hi, Im using avitricks to try to join multiple clips of a movie and music video but when I try to join them the end product has no picture or alternates between the picture and a blank screen. I initially saved the clips w/divx video codec and the audio as uncompressed because Im going to dub over the final product anway.

I guess you could have picked an older program with less work done on it in the past, but you would have to try hard.

Honestly, why not use something (a lot) more up to date ? I find AVI Demux to be pretty good for joining many formats.

I tried using avidemux. when I used the append feature it displayed width and height are different between streams and cannot be fixed with video filter. is that why they wouldnt work togther with avitricks? whats the easiest way to remedy this?

You need to re-encode one half to match the dimensions and settings of the other half, then join them.

okay. I was able to re-encode but the movie scenes are faster than normal when I append them together. Also, how can I change the files to avi files?
