I'm building a new computer for video editing and making DVD backups. For editing I use Pinnacle Studio 11 Ultimate. I know many editors hate this program but it is easy to use and I have no problems with 11. Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-EP35-DS3P, Intel Core 2 Quad 2.4 6600, G.SKILL 4GB DDR2 1000 SDRAM ,BFG TECH GeFORCE 8800GTS and two (2) 500GB Samsung hard drives. AS YOU CAN SEE THIS COMPUTER WILL ROCK! The question is what OS system to use. Vista 32 bit or 64 bit Home premium? I know that 32 bit only allows 3.5 GB of memory but the 64 bit is limited to the number of drivers available. Also, someone told me on another site, when installing Vista 32 bit (if this is the way I go) use only 1 (one) memory stick when installing Vists 32bit OS. They said it is a bug only in Vista 32 bit and not the Vista 64 bit OS. Any advice would be appreciated.

I would go with whichever one you can get cheapest. Either will provide the same experience in your case. The benefits of 64bit are lost on the average user that only uses 32 bit apps.
As for the memory, I hadn't heard anything about an installation bug when using more than one stick of RAM. And you aren't likely to need to be able to use more than 3GB of RAM anyway, so the loss of the 512MB in the memory hole is irrelevant.Google is your Friend -
Bottom line.
Vista 32bit or XP 32bit (if you have a lot of legacy programs and hardware that you don't intend to update)
2GB RAM (two 1GB sticks).Recommends: Kiva.org - Loans that change lives.

I guess I didn't make myself clear. They said use one stick of memory for the install and after the install add the other stick. Is this true?

I have heard there are a few motherboards that won't install or boot to Vista the first time with more than one RAM module, but I have never seen it. Both my vista computers, and my laptop use two modules and they have never had any RAM problems with Vista installs. Maybe with four modules or a odd number like three you could have problems.
But with two modules, that sounds like a motherboard/RAM problem, not something specific to Vista. It might have something to do with not having the motherboard drivers installed yet. But most of the memory management is handled in hardware on the motherboard and the rest with the BIOS.
But you could install the OS with one module if you wanted, then shut down and add the second one after the install.
