How to use only one audio track from a 2-audio-rack .avi File

Ok, here is the last one for today (all you guys out there, I REALLY appreciate this help):

I want to author an .avi (DivX) file with 2 audio tracks into a DVD, but I would like to have either only track #2, or both tracks. While there is a manual as to how to change a 1 audio track file into a 2 audio track DVD, I don´t seem to find a manual for the opposite.

I do not come across many AVIs with multiple audio tracks, but I think you should be able to select audio track "1" instead of "0" in the Audio tab to get the alternative audio converted.

Tried it. Doesn´t work for some reason.
What works: I did a transformation to Avi/DivX with audio trtack set to 1, and subsequently I converted the resulting movie into a DVD. Tedious, though.
