I saw a guy broadcasting on cam and he had half his screen as a TV while playing his Xbox 360, adn the other half was video of himself via webcam.

I have a webcam and software for PIP, but what would I need to be able to get the content of my tv screen to show up on my computer?

Also, I would be doing this off a laptop so if I need any wires, it would have to be via USB.

Thanks in advance for the help.

You need a capture card, that can deal with whatever kind of video signal the XBox outputs.
More than likely, you need a video splitter too, as the capture card will impose some delay, making it impossible to capture and play (with only the capture preview as your only display) at the same time.

Yep. In that case the PIP needs to be done in the TV, not the computer.
