Can it be done? I checked the guide on the left side but there seems to be nothing on FLI and it's not the same as FLV (flash video) commonly used on web sites like Youtube.

FLI is a rather old (and somehow still supported) file that contains several images and was designed for animated looping playback. Like GIF but with no compression. Some early store display PC used them to show off the then-new VGA capability.

There is one that is of particular favorite that I'd like to try and make it into looped GIF for avatar icon.

I am able to play the FLI just fine with Quicktime though the self playing version and the FLI player for DOS both no longer worked since I upgraded my PC from P4 to Athlon 64. I think 64 bit dual core CPU is getting confused with an ancient 16 bit DOS program.

PS anyone know if there's an archive for old animated video that were originally used in store display? There's a few I'm trying to find that I think were used on Magnavox computer or something like it, I first saw them at Montgomery's Wards (long defunct). It mostly featured light bulbs dancing, sea-sawing, clear music notes moving along the sheet, etc all in a pre-rendered 3D visual.
