Hey guys.... not so good news...
I cleaned everything...and I mean everything.... I even deleted the old ATI download ZIP files etc.. I used Ccleaner... I deleted every single file that dares to start with ATI letters under windows ...system... and system32.... and disabled my internet connection... just in case...
Installed to proper agp drivers for the motherboard... installed every ati software in the order it said.. and restarted after every install.. (About 10 times guess)
i still have the same error TV cannot bla bla bla bla ....
Under the device manager it says code 10.. I checked code 10 and it may be the hardware error...
As i said earlier.. This computer was using the TV capture before.. The only difference between now and than is ME FRIYING th power suplly.. (After coming to europe I forgot to change the voltage from 110 to 220))))))
I am just going to try this card in another system... let see what happenes...
Thank you so much everybody.. you;ve been so kind and helpful..
meanwhile if you can come up with anything else.. I am willing to try more,,and more.... and more....

You should've mentioned the 110-220 thing earlier. Getting a hard zap might have killed it, yes.

Sorry I didn't mentioned 110-220.. I only mentioned frying the power sup.
I just remembered how it happened when I see what code 10 was..
Thank you so much lordsmurf... -
I have these and worse problems with my 9600 AIW. Since they only happen when I first turn the computer on, I tried this-
turn computer on, go directly to the BIOS setup
let it sit there while everything warms up
adjust the time which is off by about 10 hours about once a month!
exit setup and continue booting
if I wasn't so lazy (and tired of constantly fiddling with computers for the past 14 years) I would pull the video card out and re-seat it or maybe even re-install everything for the millionth time.
I'll let it go like this until something else breaks...
ok, I finally replaced the battery (am I lazy or what) and re-seated the video card (and blew all the dust off). I also increased the RAM to 1.5 gig and replaced the hard drive in the ASUS P4S8X motherboard. If I don't let it sit in the BIOS setup for a while the AIW files aren't loaded or recognized, not sure which. During bootup some random pixels show up and the boot time is much longer. Probably have to buy a new video card eventually. -
Your CMOS battery may be dead on the motherboard. Replace it, costs maybe $5 total.

Hello people I am new here. However I am having a very similar problem with this card as well. I have not used this card in almost 2 years or so and want to get it back up and running to record some video game stuff. But I am having a big issue with finding a stable and working driver. Here are some screen shots I took to see if that would help you guys out at all. This card is just all sorts of troublesome.
I keep trying to load the drivers and I keep getting the same thing in Device Manager.

This is what AIDA32 specifies the card and model. I got this card several years ago but have not used it in about a year or so.
