Ok I was curious about this AT&T UVERSE deal. What exactly is it? Is it satellite? Is it tv over internet?
What connections do you need to make it work? Do you have to have a phone line in every room that uses it? Is this similar to dsl using broadband over phonelines only using tv over phonelines?
Articles on the actual tech specs would be appreciated. I tried the att website the other day but just got a bunch of ad hype and not enough specifics. Thanks in advance.
FYI I am happy with comcast cable currently but since I do have att phone and dsl service if this was comparable for good high def viewing WITHOUT satellite than I may look deeper into a package deal. Thanks.

It is fiberoptic cable, and the last mile is copper. It is Internet Protocol TV. This means that the packets use the same routers and switches that other net traffic use.
Believing yourself to be secure only takes one cracker to dispel your belief.
