  1. with what tool can i seperate audio and video from a mpeg1video file? i want to change the audio to ac3 and then multiplex. kindly adivce me what programme should i use to do this. first i want to seperate the audio from the video then to convert it to ac3 and then i want to join the audio with the video.

    Why ?

    I don't know if you can multiplex AC3 with mpeg-1, however Tmgpenc's Mpeg Tools are probably your best option for demuxing/muxing mpeg-1

    If you're trying to convert VCD to DVD, you can use SVCD2DVDMPG

    There is a free older version.
    This actually just converts the audio sampling rate from 44k to 48k, it remains MP2.
    If you really want to convert to AC3, you can use any of a number of audio apps: BeSweet, FFMpeg, etc.

  5. i used svcd2dvd . loaded a file . source was a vcd file.iwanted to get the audio converted to 48 khz. but when the conversion was completed i got a video file only which is miv file. int he movie clip file i dont get anything it is zero bytes. no audio.where has the audio gone?i selected mpeg ps .
