  1. In the old DOS days, I had a program which would check for duplicate jpg files (even when using different file names. I believed it used CRC/Checksum as its core logic.

    Has anybody come across something like it in Windows.

    Here is a freeware duplicate file finder for windows. It's not just limited to JPG files
