I'm trying to convert an avi to mp4 via the H.264 x264 codec. The end result is a file that's video is sped up considerably, like 2x though I can't say for sure exactly.
What's going wrong?
Thanks!

Decode with QuickTime works only if QuickTime Player can play the file correctly.
1/ Install Perian, a free open source component, to extend the decoding capabilities of QuickTime (XviD and many more).
2/ Confirm that QuickTime handles your AVI now, by playing it in QuickTime Player.
3/ Convert with ffmpegX with Decode with QuickTime activated.
