    Hi,

I have a short .gi video file that I need to convert to a normal video format. SUPER doesn't recognize it, any other ideas please? Thank you!

I got this from a extension defintion site:
The .GI file is a format specific to Sonic RecordNow! as opposed to being a standard ISO file. .....
So I suspect you may need that program to burn or extract it.

I don't want to burn it, I want to convert it to a .wmv

Then you will probably still need RecordNow to extract it. Or ask the person that created it why he put it in a proprietary format that hardly anything can open.

    According to
    http://filext.com/file-extension/GI
there are several file image formats with .gi extension.
If there is sanity in the world, they might be compatible, but don't bet on it.

In any case, this page mentions that Isobuster can open (some kinds of) .gi files.

If so, then you could extract the media file within it and hope that is more standard.

    redwuz,

    You're a genius!!

Isobuster extracted the VOB files nicely and I used Super to convert to a wmv. Thanks for your help!
