.ts conversion - no audio

I have always this problem converting a .ts video recorded with my dreambox.
With ffmpeg is all ok (audio & video)
With mencoder (xvid - divx ect.) I lost the audio

Can someone help me , i have installed the mplayer & mencoder files as specified in the downolad panel.

[Case]

The issue is with mplayer (try the [Play] button: no audio either), for MPEG-2 files with AC3 audio (except VOBs).
The mplayer binary itself is okay, because

$ /Library/Application\ Support/ffmpegX/mplayer /Users/username/Desktop/sample.ts

plays a .ts file just fine, with audio.
So, it must be due to the way in which mplayer is called upon, whatever that is.

Also tried the 0.0.9x r2 version, and it shows the same behavior. Odd that I don't recall this being reported before...

I think you'll have to do with ffmpeg for now.
