I have a Sony DVD player, it's pretty new... only about 2 months old. As I was watching a movie the screen turned red like someone was messing with the tint or something. And now it stays like that.

It still plays movies fine but the picture sucks now because of the red.

I'm using standard video cables (red, white, yellow).

I don't think it's the TV because it looks fine when I switch to satellite, it just goes red from the dvd player.

    any ideas what's causing this?

sounds as if you're running it thru a vhs player on the way to the tv and macrovision thinks you're trying to copy it

if so, try a more direct route to the tube

failing that, it may just be defective and should be returned
