Alright, I have been using VDub for about 5 months with no problems...I love the program...but here is the problem I just started having. VDub locks up at the end of every capture that I do above 200 frames...no matter the res. 352x240, 640x480, 720x480 ALL of them lock 2K up with no hope other than hitting my reset button! I reloaded 2K...same problem...I got 1.4.8...same problem...anyone ever run into this problem?????

    My System:

    AMD 950 Duron
    512 MB RAM
    10 Gig IBM Deskstar (OS)
    60 Gig IBM Deskstar (Cap)
    Pinnacle PCTV

Please! Please! This is really stumping me!

  2. You should check the bottom of the capture window. Some codecs do postprocessing.

This is especially true of non-mjpeg and older codecs. VirtualDub's capture window will show 'writing frame #' whatever until it finishes.

Newer codecs like Intel Indeo 5.11, DivX and all mjpegs don't have this problem.

Ummmmm, ok. I am using HuffyUV, but have tried PicVideo, uncompressed, etc.....this happens with all of them. Here is what I get at the bottom:

    8917us jitter, 8917us disp, 85801K total, spill seg #1, 0/0

Let me reiterate...VDub LOCKS UP. I can't end the task, I can't end the process, I can't end the process tree. When I try to restart with the start button, it tells me that VDub task must be ended to reboot, it tries to end it, and fails. Then I must reach down and hit my RESET button. Anyone else with something useful????
