After looking at lots of posts and also reading mnfg. specs,
I thought that instead of waiting for updated Bluray players, I would just
get a Ps3. Since I have no intention of using it for games, does it
matter about the hard disk size.
Seems like Ps3s range from 20 gb to 80 gb. Is one as good as another for playing
    Bluray movies?

Hard drive size has no influence on playing of Blu-Ray movies but does influence how much other stuff you can store: pics, mp3s, vids etc. If you think of the PS3 as a media centre, than hard-drive size becomes important. Internal hard drives can be replaced with larger ones (5400rpm).

You can connect an external USB hard drive formatted as FAT32 to the PS3 and it will use it like it's own.

If you plan on using an external HD then there's no real need for a large internal drive - if you don't have a spare external HD then get the largest HD model you can find.

    Rhegedus,
    Rob, thank you very much.
I have lots of sub 100 gb drives including having some
USB drives, so I guess I'm good to go.

    Thanks,

One of them don't have wifi, and newest one have no compability with PS2. Just a warning. Make sure you know the difference. But if you just use it as bluray exclusively and play some PS3 game locally then it does not matter. MAybe you just need to wired if you want internet connection.
