  1. Lagarith compresses well but may be slow with too few threads (your profile says dual core). HuffYUV doesn't compress as well but may be faster with few cores. There's a multithreaded variant which may be worth trying. Speed will be important if you're capturing 1920x1080 RGB at 30 frames per second.
What if I'm capturing on a PC with more then two cores ?

Best here will be a matter of personal choice. There are many programs that use x264 as the h.264 encoding engine. They differ mainly in the user interface, ranging from simple (few options, not very configurable) to complex (many options, very configurable). Several have been mentioned already. Handbrake or XMediaRecode may be in your ballpark.
What is outside my ball park, and what do you mean when you say 'inside my ball park' ?

Yes, but he specifically said he wanted to put the video online. So he's probably stuck with 4:2:0 chroma subsampling.

  3. Handbrake can't re-encode a Lagarith compression file, if anyone wasn't aware.

  4. if you use Yv12 handbrake should work since it's based on libav, which added Yv12 Lagarith support quite a while ago, if you don't use Yv12 decoding is only possible through vfw.

Yv12 handbrake, I thought there was only one version ? When you say decoding is only possible through vfw, what do you mean ?

  6. He meant: use Lagarith in YV12 mode. Then Handbrake can read the file. VFW is Windows' old video interface. If you don't use YV12 mode Handbrake won't be able to read your files since Handbrake doesn't use VFW.

  8. Help Me: guys i downloaded a show blu-ray, and i wanna put in my Tablet. Then i got MeGUI, bitrate 1000kbps is perfect but when i put in 500kbps is horrible. what i should do? cuz in this website http://www.minishares.org/ the tv shows have 500kbs bitrate and resolution is perfect (42min in 150mb mkv).

for exemple: this mediainfo is from Tv Show REVENGE

    Video

the resolution is perfect, then i created the same encoding settings to my BD Show and when i queue 500kbps the resolution is terrible.

Buy your tv series instead of downloading warez. And don't hijack old threads. Reread our rules.

But if you are ripping from your OWN blu-rays be sure to LOWER the resolution: ANd you will get BETTER quality from real blu-rays instead of already heavily compressed/shrinked downloaded video.
