I was wondering if there is a film look filter or effect
that I can download for FCP Studio 2?
I would also like this to be easy to apply to my timeline.
Anything?

Explain "Film Look"
To me, there is no film look any more. Almost every film, not matter what medium it is shot on, ends up being digitally colour graded and processed to some degree, even if it is an effects laden action film. By the time they are cleaned, noise reduced and then projected on a digital system, very little 'film' actually exists. Even chemical processes such as bleach bypass are now done digitally in many cases because it is simpler.
Anyway, Red Giant's Magic Bullet Film Looks is available for FCP. It has a wide range of chemical process simulations and can do some pretty nice things to an image. Be warned however that it is an incredibly slow plugin, even on very fast machines. You can find it here : http://redgiantsoftware.com/magicbulletlooks.htmlRead my blog here.

I was thinking of something a little more generic in nature. Almost like an old film look, or scratched film look. Nothing like real serious film. More of a fun filter one would use in a music video or something.

That is way too much to do. I just want an effect that I can drag into my time line.
