I have a .AVI file that I am trying to BURN subtitles onto. When I press encode it just jumps straight to finished and nothing happens. I'd like to note that I also cannot PREVIEW.

Encoding started on Sat Feb 2 14:55:21 PST 2008

Possibly there is something wrong with mplayer. Have you tried installing mplayer again?

ffmpegX has two Preview buttons. The one in the top-right corner is to preview what already has been encoded (while the encoding is busy). The one in the bottom-right corner of the Filters tab is to preview (with the chosen settings) before encoding.

Are there any special characters or spaces in your path? Try renaming the source and put in a folder without any spaces or special characters in the path
