Hello, I'm pretty new with this dvd stuffz and therefor i got a problem ofcourse :).
Anyways here goes .. i just bought a Pioneer DV-340 right, and when i hook it up on my Nokia TV (small tv, i think its like 6 years old) with the scart connector i get black&white picture! :(. Now i checked the DVD setup menu thinkin there was some pal/ntsc switch options but i cant find anything. I checked the TV options and there was also nothin. So in the desperate state i was in i tried to hook it up trough my video :) ( dvd>video>tv) and ofcourse i got black&white also. I even tried some sort of Composite to scart converter ( dvd video out > scart TV ) and it gave me black & white also (duh). So angry dazzed and confused i called my friend to test it as his place, once there i hooked it on to his SONY tv with like 4 AV channels and voila it gave me color. the connection i used was SCART > SCART So my question is ... how is this possible? is my tv pal and cant handle NTSC signals ? or do i need to make my dvd region free ? or do i need new cables ? Someone plz help me
    Thx Len -out-

If it is a B&W picture with no interference or scrolling lines etc. It may be that the output signal of the DVD player is set to S-Video. Change it to Composite or maybe RGB and try that. You can do this through the settings menu on the DVD player itself.
