NERO - Communication Failure

i need help...everytime i try to use my dvdwriter the pioneer a03..to burn a dvd i get communication failure...it works fine when i burn cdr's...but when i go to burn dvd's i get that error...can someone help me with this...i dont know what to do

Ive had the same error as you.

I got my a03 4 days ago, thought to myself, mmm lets get the latest versions of all my burning proggies. Did it, guess what? Nero gave me that communication faliure :@ . Tried changing hard drives, installing XP, changing to and from primary/master. all no good . So i decides to put older version of Nero on, Bob`s ur very close relative . Sorted.

Stick Nero 5.5.5.1 on, it works fine now.

i tried doing that and it did the same thing...but when i format and installed windows me it works fine...does anyone here know how to get rid of that error with with window xp...or what exactly is causing this
