I have an older 3CCD moniDV Panny GS120. The color of the video (either directly out putting to TV or even transferring to computer) just does not seem as vivid anymore. Is this normal with age? Besides buying a new one, is there a way to clean or fix the issue?

Unless you've actually damaged something in the lens elements, i believe your problem isn't aging of the camera..
You've probably overrode a setting of some sort...

So what kind of setting would override that? I have looked through the camera's menu many times and was not able to see anything obvious. Any help here gang?

    Hey bowmah,
how's about throwing us a bone here....

What cables are you using to plug to your TV? Svideo or composite?

Is this a playback only issue?

Have you played back your older tapes that performed well in the past??
At least you can gauge the change.
Perhaps playing the tapes on another camcorder to verify this?

Sometimes, in the menus, there's a setting that lets you dig down and choose different shooting modes (sports, darkness, skiing etc..)
    Perhaps it got changed.
